Long Term Continuous 24/7 Monitoring

While short term monitoring of the environment is able to offer a scientific and quantifiable approach to the health of the ecosystem in a snapshot in time; long-term monitoring of the environment allows for a more comprehensive and accurate assessment of the ecological changes and impact by revealing trends that may not have otherwise occurred in the short term.

In a long term environment monitoring program, the data that is collected is often required to be stored, processed; analysed and plotted for meaningful presentation. Such big data analytics can either be manually processed with third-party time-series mathematical/scientific software; or they can be automated using an internet-based or cloud-based scada and display system with analytical engine to provide continuous 24/7 real-time monitoring and/or alert when threshold levels are exceeded.
